quick outfit post

Well, finally got to wear my boot find today! Paired them  with a pair of black leggings from lane bryant and a basic black tee which i layered with a vintage shrugthing i got while thrifting--chris thought i had seriously lost it when he saw me come home with it but i knew it had potential......



how excited was i that these had this funky lining!

the perfect blazer

Wow. Its been awhile.Recently i had surgery on my leg to remove a rather disgusting looking varicose vein,while excited it is gone it left my leg bruised sore and nasty looking all around.AND.....required the wearing of compression tights. Yuck. Honestly the tights made me feel so uncomfortable and gross(i felt like two wiener sausages in casing it cut me off so bad at the waist if you must know) that all i wanted to do was put sweats on after i got off work. Today was my first day that i didn't have to keep them on after work(yay!) so i finally wore something cute. I usually HATE  all blazers they make me feel like a line backer but not this one its so girly that they was no way i was looking like a football player in it.i originally was going to pair it with the same shirt and a pair of super cute white trousers i scored for TWO DOLLARS at old navy but then i woulda felt the need for heels and while my leg feels better I'm not sure its ready for heels,no matter how god damn cute they are. Oh well....there will be other days....

have i mentioned how lucky i am?

You will never believe how many times i went out in search of the perfect pencil skirt to come back empty handed. In fact i almost threw down 50 dollars for one just the other day(.....and I'm a cheap skate. seriously.) that's how desperate i was. A few days ago i was doing a overhaul on my closet when i happened upon this skirt in my pants bin. Its been in there for over a year. I remember picking it up on 99cent day at value village hoping to fit into it at a later date because it was alittle snug on me at that point. Imagine my excitement when it did! Now I'm not kidding when i say this...every woman should have one of these from a 2 to a 24 they do something amazing for your figure unless you aren't into that whole madmen sex kitten type of a thing. (: Now i didn't intentionally mean to do this BUT everything I'm wearing was thrifted. Everything. Most of it for a dollar.
